OOTD- Playing Pretend, A Day On the Beach

Sometimes the best laid plans can go not quite as you expect. Don't you hate when that happens? The plan was to head to the airport, book a ticket on the next plane leaving for a tropical island with warm weather and swaying palm trees, then hop on and get out of town. Since the money fairy forgot to deposit the money in my wallet, it didn't quite work out, so I did the next best thing. The bf and I headed out to lunch at a sushi place in the city that was recently voted best of by a local paper, but when we got there they were closed for some kind of event. Since we didn't want to wait about 2 hrs until we could get in, we headed to a local hole in the wall restaurant with some yummy fried fish and sides. I couldn't complain with a great meal in hand and the chance to pose in front of this little gem of a mural on the side of a building. I got to play pretend just for a second and imagine that those palm trees were for real.

This outfit was just a random assortment of items that I threw on because I only cared about wearing my new shoes. I scored these wedges during a recent sale from ASOS; I love me a good wedge shoe. If it makes me feel like a super tall amazon and lets me walk in comfort, then I am all for it. One other fun new addition is my humongous a** ring from F21. I got this in the mail last week and my first thought was, perhaps I should start reading the measurements on the jewelry items. Have you ever ordered something and was completely shocked at how it look when you got it?

  1. I saw those on ASOS and loved them but was concerned they'd be too high. They look great on you and the whole outfit is super cute.

  2. You are seriously so pretty! I love that last shot. And yeah, F21's rings ALWAYS surprise me when they come in the mail. I love a big cocktail ring, though, so it's all good, haha!

"Since the money fairy forgot to deposit the money in my wallet, it didn't quite work out" This made me LOL, hahaha! You're hilarious!

  3. Wow, thanks guys for the boot love.

@ sundaze- they are not high at all and the front platform helps make them more comfy.

@amy kelinda- glad to bring a chuckle to your day and thank you for the lovely compliment. :)
I definitely don't have much of an issue with a big ring, but I saw that and knew it would be way too much for wearing to work.
