OOTD- Under Construction

I hope you all had a little enjoyment in your weekend. I sure did with catching up on my Mad Men (I'm way behind on so many popular tv shows. My guy and I are just now watching 24, that's how bad it is), strolling through the mall where I picked up the shoes I'm wearing here and enjoyed a nice popsicle to try and beat the heat. What kind of fun did you get into?

I found myself in a parking lot with some construction materials and thought it would make a good backdrop. Not a glamorous one, but certainly more interesting than the one I use everyday. It was perfect for showcasing my new shoes that I got a ridiculous bargain on (about $35) and even though you might think I was attempting the whole boho look, it was an experiment in a technique to curl the hair with no heat. I found a blog with a YouTube video demonstrating it and I thought I would give it a try. It totally worked and looked cute for all of 2 minutes before I stepped outside and the humidity ruined everything!!! I wept for my poor, oh you were so cute curls on the way to work this morning.

Are you a big fan of YouTube videos? Have you learned any great tips (fashion/hair/make-up) by checking out a video?

  4. @ina- I definitely agree that the cargos are a versatile piece.

@Marcia-Thanks, I thought the green would be different and I definitely like these wedges.

@Rosa- Thanks and I couldn't believe the final price. There was an additional mark down that didn't have a sticker on the box, so they were even lower than I orginally thought they would be. You can't beat a surprise discount.

  6. Super cute shoes. I love your headband, too. I get LOST on YouTube tutorials. Some of them go on and on, but the information can be really good.
