Spikes, Whips or Chains

A recent trip to the mall had me wandering around Nordstrom, where I spotted a shoe display that had me at hello. I'm sure you all have seen pics around the blogosphere of some lovely ladies sporting the current Sam Edelman's shoe collection of great flats and spikes. They had me further wanting to take the plunge on a new pair when I saw some ladies modeling a few pairs on QVC Saturday morning. Here are some that want to jump into my shopping cart:

Lorissa Pump in Nude, $199.95, available here
Can we say fierce?? And you can be sure no one would dare step on your shoe!!

Adena Flat in Rose Gold, $150.00, available here

Also available in a more subtle black, but you can't deny that this would make quite a statement.

Padma Pump in Leopard, $124.95, available here

On trend with the leopard and has just a subtle hint of studding for those that think less is more.

Pax Ankle Boot in Chateau Grey, $250.00, available here

I've been on the hunt for a fall ankle boot and this one is simple with a bit of edge.

Hera Flat in Black/Nude Patent, $125, available here

This is the shoe that caught my eye in the store. A perfectly classic color palette that could work with almost anything topped with a pretty bow and some spikes. How could I not want them?

Are you a fan of Sam Edelman shoes? Do you like all of the spiky-ness or no? What shoe has caught your eye recently?

Notes from the Dressing Room- Anthro Anticipation Heels

I had the chance to try on one of the pairs of shoes from Anthropologie that was taunting me and my credit card. The store only had a 7 and I usually fluctuate between a 6.5 and a 7. I put a pair on hold and headed out to the store after work.

As you can see, I need to size down because my tootsies are nowhere to be found. It was a great medium shade of gray, I loved the bow, they have such an interesting shape and best of all the heel was a comfortable height. I can imagine being able to walk and last pretty much all day in these shoes. For the time being, I left them in the store. It wasn't 100% love and that might have been because it wasn't the right size. I'm thinking I should check out the other pair I like and do a comparison.

Anthropologie, Why Are You Teasing Me!!!???

Yesterday, I received a new Anthropologie catalog and yet again they pulled me into desiring an item because of how lovely they make everything look on the model. Thanks to that catalog and Kim at Anthroholic, I am seriously contemplating a new shoe purchase. The problem is I should be saving up money for moving later this year. I mean shouldn't a rental truck, bed, and fancy flat-screen tv take precedence? This is one of those moments when being a big-girl, real deal adult is no fun, lol.

If I do decide to take the plunge on some shoes, which should I go for:

Anticipation Heels, $168

Waving Grains Pumps, $148

Or should I be a good, head on straight, no fun having adult and get neither?
