OOTD- Squeezing Out the Knit

With the temperatures slooowly creeping back up, I figured this would be the best time for me to squeeze some extra wear time with one of my sweaters. I managed to make through the day unscathed, but on the way home I started a slight lady sweat (not to be mistaken to the bucket sweat where is just pours down your back, yuck! Not looking forward to that).

Although I am usually one for bright colors, I can help but love all of these softer tones that are out this season. So soft and feminine, I even grabbed a few to try on in the mall yesterday (reviews to come soon, stay tuned).

On a different note, does anyone else find themselves watching HSN or QVC for no reason? I've never been one for watching these shopping networks except recently. I blame none of my shows being on as the reason. Let's hope I don't find myself placing an order for some Levi's Curve jeans and Lancome make-up in the next hour.

OOTD-Like Kraft Mac n' Cheese, I've Got the Blues

Hope you are having a lovely weekend!! Make sure you set those clocks back, but most importantly, have some fun. I'm about to enjoy a scary movie night in a few. It will be even better snuggled up under a blanket that I'll use to shield my eyes for any terrifying scenes.

One outfit that I wore this week was a bit of a departure for me. I like to coordinate certain things like a belt to a color in my top or my bag to my shoes or something of that nature, but it is rare that I wear the same color from top to bottom. I thought the different shades of blue would keep the whole ensemble from looking too stale. All in all, I kind of liked this experiment in color although I don't think my wardrobe could let me try it again unless I'm wearing black.  Although I could do head to toe pink, but that might make me look like a Barbie. I'm not quite ready to live in a Barbie world, unless it comes with that lovely pink convertible and a dream house.

OOTD- Cozy Sweater Weather

The start of the weekend is always welcomed by me; the chance to wear jeans, make plans, steal a tractor ; ). Although the wind almost blew me away today like Dorthy in the Wizard of Oz, I didn't mind so much since I got to put on my trench coat and sweater. I think a nice trench coat is an essential item and so easy to make you look chic no matter what you're wearing underneath. That's why I had to make this trench mine when Jean Paul Gaultier debuted his line at Target earlier this year. Although it's a 1 on a scale of 10 and Burberry being the highest, I love the extra detailing. And my sweater is love to me because of the vibrant color. I found this gem hiding in the thrift store and had to laugh at the fact that this is the piece I discovered because a year ago I found the exact same sweater/jacket at a consignment shop in black. I feel like I should give one up but how can I give up such coziness and cuteness. The question is black or blue or both?

Shh, keep this a secret!!!!
