OOTD- Prince Boot Walkin'

The thought of pencil skirts probably conjure up images of dressed-up work wear, but if you are privileged enough to spend your days in a casual environment or have casual Friday, a denim version can take that buttoned-up image to a more relaxed vibe. But it is still a pencil skirt and allows for some sexiness to work through. This denim number was the perfect way to end my week of pencil skirt wearing. It has been a fun challenge working with what was in my closet, but I have to say I am ready to slip on a pair of pants. Or who knows, I do still have some more skirts in my closet that need wear time. Whose a gambler and want to take a wager as to whether I will switch it up tomorrow??? Winner gets bragging rights!

Remember in my last post how I mentioned that I seem to have a purchase to wear ratio of about three months. I'm sure you thought I was joking, but I'd like to introduce on my blog the blazer that I bought back in August!! I actually wore it on Thanksgiving, but failed to document that outfit and so instead of admiring it in the plastic day after day, I figured it deserved a little showcase time. 

I'm a big proponent of blazers making a perfect wardrobe staple. It takes something so simple like a button-down and jeans and adds a hint of sophistication (or interest). Even better if it is a fun color or print!! My dream is to one day have a rainbow of blazers in my closet. The blue section is now complete! Next stop might be polka dot city.

OOTD- Bright Spots

This outfit has been months in the making. I was flipping through magazines or looking at blogs when the idea for this outfit came to mind. But then the weather became way too hot for fabric with the content of wool and so it was put on hold. Don't you hate when the weather doesn't want to cooperate with your sartorial wishes? Since we are in the midst of an Indian summer, I figured I should break out the cream shoes before they go on temporary hiatus. They certainly enjoyed their last hurrah and gracefully tagged in the thicker fabrics. This is just the beginning, I have some orange wool pants waiting for its turn. Oh, I can't wait!!
