OOTD- Pleated Shimmy

You guys remember how I traveled all the way up to NYC just to go to a sample sale?? Well, this cute little handbag I'm carrying is what I took home. Isn't she purty?? I've been showing this one lots of love, I think the other bags are feeling pangs of jealousy.

Lately, I've been feeling like my outfits have gotten a little boring, for lack of a better word. Although I have things that I love wearing, I always feel like some of my ensembles could use a little bit extra something that I'm not quite sure I can put my finger on. I'm a firm believer in the power of a good accessory to take an outfit up a notch or two; so that's what I attempted with this scarf. It certainly helped add some interest to this pleated number.

Can someone learn how to take an outfit from boring to just right or is pitch-perfect styling an innate ability?

Playing Hooky

So, last week I played a little hooky from work and took a trip up to one of my favorite cities, New York, for a real deal sample sale. Rebecca Minkoff (one of my all time favorite handbag designers) was slashing prices on fabulous bags and I couldn't resist joining the fun. Here are a few pics from my day off to enjoy:

My drool is on the glass...come to me pretties

I'm somewhere near the end of this line

So many bags! Decisions, decisions!

Score! Debut to come soon

Scary subway time

My neck hurts from looking up

Baby, I don't think this is the right Statue of Liberty

Somehow ended up in fancy shoe heaven at Saks

Oh, how I love you YSL beauties!

Afternoon cocktail time with a side of cupcake. What better way to end the afternoon, but a bit tipsy?

Winding down the day at Rockefeller Center

Feet so tired, I think it's time to roll!
