Bloggers Do It Better- Having an Arm Party!!

There's nothing I love better than a good arm party and when the new Bloggers Do It Better assignment popped up for just that, I couldn't have been more excited. Although my arm party was nowhere near as jumping as The Man Repeller's (had to keep it semi-tame for a workday), I had so much fun with all of the business going on around my wrist.

My lovely Tucker dress hasn't seen any action in awhile and after the fiance mentioned that it is his favorite dress of mine recently, I thought I would take it out for a spin; but in a slightly different way as a skirt. And with multiple colors going on in the dress, I figured why not go a bit crazy with pops everywhere. I was going to make sure everyone knew that a party was happening today.

And I have to give a special shout out to the wonderful Rosa from the Rosa Loves blog who gifted me two awesome friendship bracelets on the right. I love them and they were so excited to join the festivities. :)

OOTD- Tucker, But Not For Target

Although today we were on the verge of a tornado, yesterday's weather was absolutely perfect. It made me want to put on my fancy new dress. I don't know why but when I buy something new, I like to hold onto it until I come up with the perfect outfit for it instead of wearing it right away. Which camp are you in?

Target is one of my favorite stores and I love the designer collaborations that allow me to afford some level of designer goods in my closet. I've been introduced to some wonderful lines (Alice Temperley, Rogan, Thakoon) and Tucker definitely scored high on the list, but you know the real deal is always just a little bit, let's say, better/more expensive looking/just a bigger step up? A recent Gilt sale allowed me to add this pretty little beauty of a Tucker dress for an absolute steal to join its fellow spring frocks in my closet. It got me so excited that I almost wanted to break the shorts out of hiding, go find a patio outside and enjoy an icy cold frozen drink. But all in due time.

Purple jacket and tan woven belt- H&M
Dress- Tucker
Gold necklace- JewelMint

OOTD- Rockin' A Pony

So, my mother has a go-to hair style of the side ponytail. I always wonder why she insists on wearing such a young girl look, yet here I am rocking a side pony. Oy, I'm slowly turning into my mother and I felt all of 12 y.o. today.

I scored this cardigan a few weeks ago and although I thought it was fun, it sat in my closet for a bit because I experienced wardrobe block. Other than jeans, I had no idea what to pair it with. Out of thin air came the idea to just go full force and indulge in some pattern play. A funky print dress with polka dots, I don't know if it worked, but you can't deny it was an interesting mix.

Do these two items work together? What would you pair with this cardigan?

Outfit Details:
Polka dot cardigan- J Crew (something similar here)
Purple dress- Tucker for Target (same dress, different print here)
Brown suede platforms- Charlotte Ronson
Turquoise dress- Forever 21

I'm Walking On Sunshine??

"I'm at lunch mother and why are you calling to tease that you're leaving work early?"

Confession...there was no sunshine yesterday, so instead I was walking on water, slush and snow. Mother Nature decided to send a snowstorm our way and although I would normally be cursing the fact that the weather sucks, I took the opportunity to enjoy wearing my new boots and umbrella. Being able to stomp through puddles and seeing doggies during my ventures outside in the treacherous weather made it ten times better.

I felt like I was wearing fifty million colors in my outfit and I don't know what the deal is but instead of reaching for pants to stay warm, I've insisted on reaching for a dress/skirt when the temperature is freezing outside. Is anyone else experiencing AWB (abnormal wardrobe behavior)?

Outfit of the Day- Tucker for Target and Me

I have always been drawn to the prints of Tucker's clothing in the store. However, the price and the fact that the styles usually don't agree with my darn broad shoulders prevented anything from joining my closet. That didn't stop me from getting excited when the Tucker for Target line finally came out and I headed out to the store and loaded up with almost everything on the rack to try on in the dressing room. Only one made the cut and I was waiting for a perfect fall day to break it out. My lovely new dress and my new ankle boots happily shared the spotlight and made such a pretty couple.

Did you score any Tucker for Target pieces or did you sit this designer collaboration out?
