OOTD- Kick Off

I received two "why are you so dressed up?" comments yesterday. Are pumps not allowed on Sunday??

I haven't worn this jacket since last year (seen in this post) and yesterday's weather was almost perfect for not having to wear a coat, so this sweater jacket definitely fit the bill. Although pumps might not have been the best option for the park. Speaking of my new stems (long live Clueless vocabulary), they are not Christian Louboutins (despite that vibrant sole). I seriously considered "investing" in a pair the last time I went to Saks.

Is it crazy to consider spending a boatload of money on a pair of shoes?

OOTD-Cool Breeze

Excuse the wrinkle action, I'm working on a cure for that!

Although being an adult means the weekends are usually full of taking care of missed chores and catching up on the ever ending to-do list; I think it's always important to have some fun too. This installation in front of one of DC's museums was perfect for a silly photo session and to get out and enjoy a serious breeze.

This new top from Old Navy is perfect for staying cool even with a beaming sun. Admittedly, Old Navy is just one of those stores that I rarely bother to check out. Sure, they are great for basics, but a lot of times I want something that's more than average and boring (although they made this leather hoodie one year that I still wish I had snagged). Grechen of Grechen's Closet wore this top in one of her recent outfit posts and I knew it would be great to fulfill that wardrobe need for a white blouse. As much as I would love an Equipment blouse, I don't want to invest in one and end up with an inevitable stain down the front. I swear there are magical forces out there in the universe to attract anything with color to white tops and pants.

OOTD-Perfectly Patent Red

Happy Valentine's Day to my feet!!! Last weekend the bf and I took a little side trip to the thrift store. We had hopes that going to one of the far out, nicer areas would produce a load of fancy, designer goods at a steal. Yeah, no such luck. He made out like a bandit in button-downs and I found nothing but these lovely red pumps sitting in a bin, looking completely unworn, in my size. The bf was nice enough to gift me an early Valentine's gift (or maybe I had a puppy dog face on). Don't they add just the perfect pop?

OOTD- All the Leaves Are Changing

It is finally colder outside, which means time to bundle up. I realized though that as much as I love my coats, they get in the way of my styling shoots. I partially took my coat off just for you guys, lol!!!

This skirt used to be one of my favorites even with its very unlike me color palette of a muted blue and olive green. It onced lived a life as a pleated skirt, but sadly the pleats are no more. And can I share my big bargain with this coat? I scored this baby for about $8 off the Tulle website last year. I couldn't help do a happy dance at my special find. What's the best bargain you've scored?
