It is the start of New York Fashion Week, a wonderful time in the city filled with fashion, excitement, tons more fashion, fabulous people, great outfits and just a fantastic energy. Although I don't have the position or status in the fashion world to garner a front-row seat at any of the fashion shows, I'll still be able to soak in the excitement.
Today I am in New York for the Independent Fashion Bloggers conference and I couldn't be a happier girl. I get to play hooky from work, enjoy one of my favorite cities for the day, learn some things, meet some new peeps; that sounds like the perfect kind of day (other than having a wallet full of money and time to shop).
Several years ago, I was able to snag FW tickets to a show for the Academy of Arts school in San Francisco. Despite being rows back and it all being over in a flash, my friend and I still had a lovely time. A stay at the Westin and the chance to go beyond the doors of Bryant Park was a once in the lifetime opportunity.
I wanted to share a few pictures of our trip. Keep in mind the quality of these pictures are, in a sense, crappy. This was back in the day when I was content to getting a disposable camera and loudly clicking away to take a random picture.
