OOTD-Color, Color, Spots

What an eventful yesterday!!! My very first earthquake and I was confused and scared as to why the building was shaking while I was at my desk. Good thing it was just a rattle!! I was just about to curl up underneath my desk.

After a slow crawl, I made my way home in one piece as you can see and I had to take pictures of this outfit. Priorities, right? I called to make sure everyone was okay first. I find this polka dot cardigan a bit difficult to style because it usually ends up looking cutesy. But sometimes you have to work with it and I like how all of the colors and components were harmonious.
Did you ever create an outfit that you were really happy about the outcome?

Polka dot cardigan and yellow tee- J. Crew (similar cardigan here)
Purple midi skirt and brown belt- thrifted (similar skirt here and here)

  1. Oh my! I love your purple midi! I thrifted a cobalt blue one and just love it, but I may have to keep an eye out for a purple one now!

I like black and white polka dot a lot and usually pair it with red for more of a retro feel. Maybe it won't be so cutesy?

  2. Love the skirt there! I really need a lesson in finding awesome stuff while thrifting, 'cause so far I've got a whole load of nothing!
