September hit and the weather 'round these parts turned on a dime. It was one of those drizzly, perfect to stay in bed kind of days, but it made me excited to feel the coolness in the air because it means I can break out some real blazers. A definite change from the hot and humid weekend when these pictures were taken. These pretty, purple shorts decided to come out for a last hurrah along with my sandals. However, I'm determined to keep this blazer going a little longer and have been brainstorming ways to make that happen. I think a sweater combo is in its future.
Do you find it easy or difficult to extend the wear of summer items into fall/winter? What's the secret?

Okay if you're really done with shorts and sandals, you can send them my way. :o)
ReplyDeleteIn Texas, summer extends into November. I could probably wear shorts all year round, if I didn't have a dress code at work!
I love it all, especially your hair!

Today was the first really cool day in the ATL and of course I thought a short-sleeve sweater was going to cut it - I was f-f-freezing!
ReplyDeleteI love your mix of purple tones here!
Ooh...I am all about tweed blazers. They always remind me of Chanel :) You look so classy!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I have trouble making my summer clothes transition into Fall or Winter outfits. I know I won't have any trouble with some things like high waisted shorts and silky blouses. But if I do have trouble, then that should be a fun (and maybe irritating) challenge ;) We'll see how that goes...lol.

Yep, I am done with sandals and shorts, I was freezing yesterday. I have a hard time transitioning summer clothing to Fall because I am always cold.
ReplyDeleteI love this look and all the shades of purple are just divine!
ReplyDeleteThanks Eleanor!! I've been having a real love affair with purple. :)
ReplyDeleteI love anything tweed!!
ReplyDeleteYou should have no problems with the high-waisted short (tights would work perfectly) and the silky blouses (great layered under so much.
Aww, thanks Miranda!!
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for a bouclee blazer like that! Perfect transition piece ;)
