Whew, it is hot!! We are supposed to get a reprieve from the high temperatures next week when it goes down to the 90's. That is simply laughable to me when the weather people call that cooler weather, but it sure would be nice right about now. To make it through somehow, silk and cotton are my new good friends, so it was a perfect time to break out my fun flamingo skirt. This has been sitting in my closet for MONTHS and as much as I love it and its whimsical print, I find the color combo a bit tricky to style. So instead of a simple white blouse, I went with a neutral tee. Certainly not groundbreaking to say the least, but there was no way I could let summer past without the flamingos getting some time in the sun.
Have a great weekend!!
Outfit Details:
Tan tee- Madewell (similar tee here in multiple colors)
Triple strap belt- J. Crew outlet
Cream button heels (thrifted)- L'Autre Chose
Sunglasses- StyleMint
Something's wrong when the weather report says it'll only get up 98 degrees on a day and everyone's like, "whew, a cool day." ;o)
ReplyDeleteThis skirt is ridiculously cute!!! It looks really great on you, but I can see where it would be tricky to style. Since"mint" is the in color this season, do you think that would work with the skirt? Or doing a pattern mix with either a navy or orange (skinny) striped tee?
ReplyDeleteLove the blue color of the skirt and how you matched the flamingos to your lipstick!
ReplyDeleteI love the multiple belts on! Very chic!

Love, love, love that skirt!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this outfit! I think the neutral tee is a wonderful pairing with the whimsical print (like a mix of high and low), and the belt just pulls it all together!
ReplyDeleteLove love love love love that skirt. I bought it and stupidly sold it thinking I couldn't get much use out of it. Now I regret it, especially after seeing how amazing it looks on you!
ReplyDeleteI can totally understand why you sold it though because I've wondered if I should keep mine when I've now worn it a total of one time.
ReplyDeleteThat print gets to me though and I can part with it. I hope you get a second chance at it or are able to snag one of her other fun prints.
Thanks!! I figured I would start with a neutral to keep it nice and simple.
ReplyDeleteAww, I really appreciate you saying that and thanks for the award.
ReplyDeleteI know you can appreciate the quirky print. Do you still have your camel dress?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, my name twin. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! This is one of my favorite belts.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree, but I will take the "cool" weather.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your skirt!!!! And the triple strap belt. Did you get that from the J.Crew outlet in Arundel Mills?
