OOTD- A Few of My Favorite Things

Purple, tweed, stripes and these Miu Miu shoes are just a few of my favorite things. This outfit is a hodge-podge of a few old closet friends (with my new tee) and I went out on a ledge with the two different necklines going on, but I love the lady-like details and all the colors, pattern and texture. All winners in my book, plus it doesn't hurt that these shoes always make me feel like a glamazon. How does that not make any outfit feel fabulous?

What do you wear to make you feel fabulous? Is it a favorite lipstick or a special pair of earrings?

OOTD- Just A Little Late

This is frost on the ground people!! I shouldn't complain since the snow has been pretty absent this winter.

Yeah, so the whole Missoni for Target collab was how long ago? And I am finally getting around to wearing the one clothing item I managed to snatch off the bare rack. It seems like my purchase to wear ratio is about three months, really gotta work on that.

I love the colors and that classic zig-zag pattern is the perfect, simple way to add just enough pattern without being to crazy or overwhelming. Plus, you can't beat an outfit that is so much easier to match-up. Instead of doing the exact same colors as in the skirt, I went for a different shade with the navy (rather than sky) blue and what outfit wouldn't be complete without a bit o' leopard. It's almost like garanimals for the adult set, I can get with that!

Outfit Details:
Blue tee- J. Crew (limited sizes available here)
Blue blazer- Priorities
Skirt- Missoni for Target (blue version available here, similar dress version here)
Leopard hat- Albertus Swanepoel for Target (similar here and here)
Brown platforms- Charlotte Ronson (similar here and here
Olive handbag- 3.1 Phillip Lim (same designer, similar color in smaller size here and here, similar here )

OOTD- Zig-Zagging in the Rain

I feel like it has been forever since I've taken an actual outfit picture with a camera. The rain didn't stop my show!!

I had to leave the house super early, so this outfit was hastily put together. I pulled out some simple pieces (black skirt, black tank) and added something interesting like my new cardi and a tangle of necklaces. I of the belief that you should never underestimate the power of accessories. Even if you aren't into jewelry there is always a pretty scarf or funky tights. They can instantly elevate the simplest of outfits.

Have a fabulous Thanksgiving and if you are braving crowds on Black Friday, be safe!! I'll stay safely at my computer with a plate of yummy food. :)

Outfit Details:
Black tank- H&M
Gray spotted cardigan- Old Navy (available here)
Black knit skirt- Gap
Socks and umbrella- Missoni for Target (tights available here and rainboots available here)
Crystal necklaces- J. Crew (available here and here)
Black flat boots- BCBG

I had a request to see the crystal brulee necklace up close so here it is:

OOTD-Peel Back the Layers

Layers, upon layers, upon layers. That's how I was forced to dress this weekend when the weather took a nose-dive right into downright freezing cold temps. Fall has been wished for by many, including moi, so I'm not going to complain...too much. That story will surely change when my outfits have to center around a coat.

Part of my weekend featured some kid time at a local festival. Although the super cold chill in the air and rain tried to put a damper on the day's festivities, a good time was had by all. How could I not have a good day when funnel cake is involved?

Outfit Details:
White tee- Target
Chambray top- J. Crew outlet (similar here and here)
Gray blazer and necklace- Forever 21 (blazer available here)
Jeggings- Lauren Conrad for Kohl's (similar here)
Socks- Missoni for Target
Black boots- Loeffler Randall
Striped tote- Rebecca Minkoff Mini Cherish (similar here)

Looting Target- My Missoni x Targ Haul

There was some serious Missoni for Target madness going on today!!! I heard fights even broke out in some store. Is the zig-zag throw really worth the madness?? I don't know, but I joked that I might have to throw some 'bows for that pretty bike:

I decided to head out to the stores before work this morning and check out the racks, especially since the website was acting silly and slow. I got there around 8:45am and the store was crawling with fellow fashionistas who cleared out a good amount of the selection. We were all like vultures around the cart of returns. I had some luck on my side today and managed to snag a few goodies:

Umbrella

I got one last thing and wanted to get your opinion. Is this skirt a yes or no?

The one item I really wanted was the throw and managed to find the only one in the store. There are lots of patterned good stuff here but I'm in the process of weeding through what to keep or not. The throw and serving trays have made the cut so far.

Are you a fan of this latest Target collaboration? Did you try and succeed or fail to get anything today?
