Outfit of the Day- A Little Animal Kingdom in the Day

My friend and I went to a launch party for an organization this evening and the attire called for something photo ready. I had to make sure I was appropriate for work, but thought a little animal print would allow for some pizazz come evening time.

Outfit Details:
Black sweatshirt blazer- Limited
Purple v-neck tee- J Crew
Knit zebra print skirt- Diane von Furstenburg (secondhand)
Black peep toe lace up wedges- yesstyle.com
Gold watch- Nixon
Black handbag- Foley + Corinna City Tote

All of the pieces in this outfit were incredibly comfortable and I managed to last a full day without these new shoes giving me problems. Wedges are a must-have for me to prevent doing the weeble-wobble in heels.

Although I have pretty nice eyelashes, I had the opportunity to try some false lashes. This was my first time and I must say it's quite lash-tastic. I feel like batting my eyes, but that would be weird since it's just me here. :)

It was a fun girl's evening out and I have to give a shout-out to Michele for being a wonderful paparazzi photographer this evening!

  1. Hot shoes!!!! The lashes looked normal not over the top. I think you can pull it off. Back to the shoes they were stylish and showed a hint of sexy with the exposed toes. Me Like!!!

  2. Your outfit is cute! The pop of color on your lips, as well as in your top really do spice up the entire ensemble ;)

  3. @ Mr.218, glad you like the shoes! :)
The fake lashes were fun for the evening and I didn't think they were too much (definitely not drag-a-licious, lol).

@ Peach City Style, thanks so much!! I'm all about a pop of color. I'm not much for lipstick, but decided to try out this MAC color and love it. Perfect for the spring/summer.

  5. I'm not much for color either, but that works on you girl...if you're liking that color, also try out "African Queen" lip gloss by NYX. I was considering this color forever and it took ALOT for me to buy it, and I'm so glad I did!

OH, and by the way, I've got a SERIOUS addiction to ANYTHING red velvet!! So funny you mentioned that! If you ever come to Atlanta I'll have to show you my fave spot to get red velvet cupcakes...I promise you they're even better than the B&N ones!

  7. @ BrooklynBlonde- Thank you so much! I felt really good that day and extra sassy with the shoes. :)

@ Peach City Style- I just saw a review of that African Queen lipgloss and it looks fabulous. That was a good buy. I'll keep an eye out for it when I go to Ulta.
Red velvet is the best flavor!! I haven't been to Atlanta since high school, so I'm probably due for another trip. I might have to take you up on that offer!! I can't resist a cupcake. :)
