OOTD- Never Let Them See You Sweat

The calender proclaimed that it is officially summer and Mother Nature joined in the party with ridiculously high temperatures the past few days. It's a good thing that I took these pictures right after I left the house because if you had caught me oh around 10 minutes later, you would have seen a very colorful, sweaty blob on the subway. Ah the joys of this time of year! I'm going to manage the best way I can with hair up, arms out, floaty fabric and an ice cold bottle of water by my side. Or better yet, I think I'll hire my own personal butler to hold an umbrella over me when I'm outside, keep a fan blowing on me at all times and makes me cocktails on demand. Yeah, I think I like that idea better and it would sure make the weather more bearable. Do you think anyone would respond to that kind of Craigslist ad, lol?

OOTD- A Roarin' Good Date Night

Just call me Marilyn!!
My honey took me out for a night on the time and I, in turn, got myself all fancied up. The occasion just seemed to call for my leopard dress. It was perfect for enjoying the views of the restaurant and for having myself a little Marilyn Monroe moment.

Just like the bird dress in my previous post, this leopard dress is one of my favorites although I've had it for months (we are talking since spring) and have only worn it now. I should really figure out why I keep letting the pretty stuff sit in my closet, although I think you might get tired of me wearing the same thing every week if I did break out nothing but the fun pieces. Although this has me thinking I should challenge myself to fashion five distinct outfits out of one item. I have one down for this dress, only four more to create....this might take awhile.

OOTD-Fancy Up the Day

I thought I would tackle another difficult cardigan and break out this little flowered number. The floral print and neckline make it a challenge, but I just had to get it that one day in Last Call because it was something different and it was from Marc Jacobs. How could I say no thanks to one of my favorite designers? Instead of going the regular cardigan route, I thought I would make it more of a top instead. It worked perfectly.

Did you guys see my new arm bling?? This is definitely not my standard simple bracelet but I was inspired to buy it after seeing a picture in a magazine of a model wearing a lady-like outfit complete with high leather gloves and two fabulous diamond bracelets that were nothing but bling. It was all very Mad Men-esque mixed with a lady who wears nothing less than diamonds. That's certainly not for my everyday life, but a girl can dream a little.

Do you love that we live in a more casual dress society or do you ever wish people would dress up more often like in the olden days?
