OOTD- Let's Have a Meet-up

My outfit did a complete 180 this morning when I ditched the skirt I originally wanted to wear in favor of these cords that just came out of hiding from winter storage. The Perfect Topper

Cooler temps usually means time for layers and bundling up. Outfits are hidden behind coats and jackets, but that doesn't have to mean you need to be covered and boring. One great way to add sparkle to your outerwear is with a fabulous scarf, or my favorite, a hat. Some people are hat people (raises hand over here) and some people (like my best friend) wouldn't put one on even if it was five below freezing your butt off cold. Don't be afraid of give them a try because there are so many fabulous styles to choose from out there.

Let's take a look:

OOTD-Three Times the Inspiration

While trolling through the land of blogs this weekend, I came across this photo:

Which got my fashion wheels turning and inspired my outfit this weekend:

The light denim shorts lend themselves better to summertime dressing, but tights are a great way to stretch an outfit element more suitable for warm temps into the fall/winter. Net-a-Porter apparently agreed with me because I checked out the new arrivals yesterday and spied this ensemble:

It's the outfit that keeps on repeating.

Is your wardrobe generally separated by seasons or do you wear whatever you want no matter the season?

OOTD- The Witching Hour

Double, double, toil and trouble...or however, it goes!!

I hope you all had a great weekend!! As you can see, I was jumping for joy!!

So my fellow blogger Grechen (from Grechens Closet) and I bought this same dress from Swirl. Her husband joked that all she needed was a broom when she wore hers and as I was putting this outfit together, I couldn't help but think I'm just missing my pointy hat and evil cackle. This dress has a wonderful asymmetrical hemline and a great flow, but it was a small struggle to get the right accents to make it look chic. I gave it a good ole' college try with a pop of color and some interesting tights, but next go round will definitely not invoke images of being a little witchy.

Outfit Details:
Dress- Mark & Estel (similar here in shorter length, similar tank style here)
Purple pashmina- ???
Patterned tights- Anna Sui (similar here)
Black pumps- Taryn Rose

OOTD- Flight of the Crazy Bird

It's the return of the birds!! They just keep coming back. I had two reasons for wearing this dress: a.) I love it and would wear it at least once a week but I'm sure we'd all get sick of that and b.) in the span of a week I've seen two different bird dresses. I thought I would let you ladies get in on the tweet, tweet action too.

I have a lot of texture and pattern going on in this outfit, but it is a total win for me. I love all of these pieces, especially my new grandpa cardigan. Seriously, is there nothing better on a crisp day than a warm and cozy sweater? And if all of my birds and the pattern of my knit wasn't enough, I added polka dots on top of that. Is it all a bit too much? Quite possibly, but if it is, just let me be crazy pattern lady for the day.
