OOTD-Wrapped in Flowers

You can't beat a nice breeze on a hot morning!

With summer almost half-way through I've been trying to figure out how to get the most out of my wardrobe without running out of cute outfit ideas. I've worn this cardi before in its basic comfy, flowy state. It's a perfect piece for summer with a silk content and a loose fit (see post here) and I've been lamenting about the fact that my wardrobe is seriously lacking in printed tops. Lo and behold this cardi lends itself perfectly as a wrap top. It still maintains its bohemian vibe, but with a more streamlined feel that's great for the office. Nothing better than multi-function clothing. If I can do this with some other pieces, then summer will surely not get the best of me.

OOTD- After the Simple Life

This little romper was a surprise trendy piece that I gave a thumbs up to last year. After wearing it that one time, I stuck it in a bag to dry clean and completely forgot about it until finding said bag full of old stuff recently and actually doing something with it. Does anyone else take forever to dry-clean or do laundry? I had a college roommate that did laundry every week, if not more often. I always wondered why she washed so often since I generally wait until I'm running out of clean underwear. Is that tmi?? Well, it's true.

And getting back to my adult onesie... my Winter Kate flowy cardigan lended this outfitit a slight boho vibe; something I've been channeling this summer. And if I can see Nicole Ritchie wearing it, I think that means I'm on the right track.

Do you sometimes channel a favorite fashion icon or celebrity when picking out an outfit?

OOTD- Bohemian Girl

The weather was absolutely perfect this weekend, so I headed out for a little vintage shopping and found a great bracelet for my mother. As the bf and I were leaving, the shop owner called out to come again and the bf replied, "oh, she'll be back." Ah, he knows me well.

I have a few new goodies in my wardrobe and this Winter Kate cardigan is one of them. I just read some reviews on Shopbop singing its praises and I have to add to the chorus. I've already thought of another outfit so if you see me wearing it again this week, don't be surprised. And thanks to a tutorial from Love Maegan, I might have a closet full of these great layering pieces.
